The knife is constructed with 180 layers of AIS 1084 (consists of high carbon) steel and AIS 1250 (low carbon steel).  The handle(27mm thick) is rich wood, fitted to the tang. 18mm of the handle towards the guard and pommel is made of 2 layers carbon steel, 2 layers brass and 1 layer rich wood with brass pins.  In fact, the knife you receive will be a one of a kind, as no 2 blades can ever be identical.  Comes with a THICK solid cow hide sheath which may fit to your belt.  Please note, the sheath alone is designed for this knife and is 1 piece leather (not reconstituted leather) and retails over $70.
