This is the Cold Steel Survival Edge knife. It measures 9 3/8" (238mm) overall. The 5" (127mm) long 4116 Krupp Stainless Steel blade is hollow ground and given an RC hardness of 56 - 57 so it holds a good edge. Cold Steel has designed this knife to be a solid/reliable replacement to other brands' flimsy hollow handle knives.
The handle is high grade polypropylene with rubber o-rings to improve traction when wet. Features twin hand guards that can be used to lash an improvised spear. The hollow in the handle has a water tight seal and can hold a variety of survival aids or tinder (comes empty).
Comes with a ferrocerium fire striker and a Secure-Ex sheath that is light enough to be worn on a neck lanyard or belt.
